At Marshall’s church one of the eagle scout troops put on a blood drive for their service project. The red cross was expecting about 30 people but 77 end up coming and they were able to get 63 pints of blood! Super exciting! At one point they had to actually leave and go get more bags. It was cool because one of the ladies in the church had some complications during her last pregnancy and had to be given sixteen pints of blood. It’s cool to hear stories like that and see how things like this actually help.
I can’t wait to donate again. 🙂 Senior year of high school I tried to donate but I didn’t make the weight requirement, but thanks to the freshman (and sophomore) 15, I’m there now 🙂
